MSSB awarded during the Night of Tourism
The Night of Tourism was held yesterday evening at the Palace of Congress in the presence of the President of the Balearic Government Francina Armengol, Vice President Biel Barceló, Central Government Delegate Maria Salom and important representatives of Majorcan cultural, social and corporate life. During this ceremony, authorities and the Jury awarded nine projects all committed to a balanced and sustainable tourism, in coincidence with the celebration of World Tourism Day.
The Sa Bassa Blanca Museum (msbb) and the Yannick and Ben Jakober Foundation received the award in Touristic Experience. MSSB, highlighted by its main building of the Museum, masterpiece by Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, was recognized as one of the pivotal cultural and heritage emblems of Mallorca for its contribution and experience in integral tourism, combining art, architecture and nature.
