This week Almine & Bernard Picasso, Princess Chocho, daughter of HIM Bao Daï, visited Sa Bassa Blanca Museum (msbb). Almine Picasso is the great-niece of Vietnamese artist Mai Thu (1906-1980), childhood friend of Vu Cao Dam (1908-2000). They studied together at the Fine Arts School in Hanoi directed by Victor Tardieu, and moved to Paris in the thirties, where they were neighbours during the forties. Vu Cao Dam made the bust of HIM Bao Daï in the thirties, now at the Musée Jacques Chirac, Quai Branly.
