Sofia Barroso F. de Araoz Marañón, born 1960 in London. President of Around Art, she has been receiving the top world museum directors and patrons in Spain & Portugal and organizing their trips since 1984. She has run two Art galleries, lectured and directed summer programs for Syracuse University Centre in Spain in Barcelona and Mallorca and was head curator at the March Foundation Contemporary Art Museum in Palma de Mallorca (1995-1997). She has directed the ARCO International Collectors Program since 1993 and directed the Collectors Program for Art Cologne Palma.
She is on the Board of the following institutions: Zuloaga Foundation, Patiño Circle of the MNAA (Museu de Arte Antiga, Lisbon), Fundacion ANAR, International Council Member of the Teatro Real Madrid, President of the Spanish Friends of the National Museum of Women in the Arts Washington D.C., Hispanic Society of America (Spanish Branch), Asociacion Territorio Goya to promote Art & Culture in Fuendetodos & Belchite (Aragon), Goya´s homeland.
